Start a mediation group in your area
Break the Norms is actively seeking people in all sections of the country who wish to establish their own meditation communities. Group leaders who are the best fit understand that our purpose is to bring people together in silence so as to question our existence and come to a deeper resonance with our innate humanity.
You don’t need to be a master of meditation. You don’t have to be a certified yoga teacher. You don’t have to gather thousands to be successful. All you need is a willingness to bring people together and a commitment to stepping forward on your journey toward awakening.
We are looking for people who...
- Are interested in letting go
- Are ready to change the course of their life
- Are willing to help others find peace within
- Are looking for a purpose-driven community
- Believe in the power of meditation
- Are ready to break the norms!
Make a donation
Break the Norms is a donation-based non-profit organization. Our intention is to make the spiritual journey accessible to all members of society, not only those with financial means.
Your donation will go toward training new community leaders to set up their meditation groups as well as helping us offer free and donation-based events in our New York and Los Angeles centers and other venues that require a fee.
Can’t make a financial donation? There are many other ways to donate: your time and expertise are also valuable assets to the community! Click HERE to connect with a Break the Norms team member who can help you discover a way to donate your expertise.
Ready to get started?
Step 1: To set up a meditation community in your area, please fill out this form. Please remember that there are no “right” or “wrong” answers. This application is simply a way for us to get to know you and get a sense of whether you’re a good fit to initiate a Break the Norms community.
Step 2. Once you’ve filled out the form and we see that you’re a good fit for our goals, we’ll set up an interview via Skype or in person. We’re looking to find out more about who you are, what your personal experiences have been, and how we could potentially work together.
Step 3. Approved meditation community leaders will then go through a basic mediation and group-building course. This includes meditation training as well as social media and outreach training. We want to give you everything you’ll need to truly build a rock-solid home for meditators in your part of the world! From here, we’ll feature you on our website and encourage Break the Norms members to engage with your new audience.
