Meditation in Beverly Hills

The 'Break The Norms Movement' is an initiative to break taboos in spirituality & bring a transparent picture of pure potentiality that's seeking manifestation in all of us. With sacred meditations and workshops, we aim to bring you road-maps to truth in a way that's amoral & independent in its soul. At Break The Norms (BTN), we nurture the seeds of consciousness in you, guiding you to rediscover your divinity and tap into your infinite potential. BTN conducts a variety of meditation classes and workshops for spiritual seekers from all walks of life and all levels of meditation experience. BTN also offers a variety of personal development programs to uplift your soul and transform your overall being. We use sacred teachings of ancient Eastern traditions of healing, meditation and transformation. The purpose of BTN Movement is simple: To awaken individuals from their unconscious slumber. We aim to hit hard on the conditioned, accepted ways of thinking. We hold the following guiding principles close to us:

Be Ignorant. Be Empty. Be Aware: An excessive amount of clout or hubris stalls our spiritual journey. One who believes they know everything, actually has much to learn. At BTN, we believe one must be ignorant, empty and aware; living in a childlike state of curiosity and open-mindedness. Trust the process. Open yourself up as a student of spirituality. This is when limitless possibilities occur. By letting go of our default ways of thinking and becoming empty enough to receive novel mindsets, we move forward in our desired direction. We must unlearn what we know in order to move ahead.

Acceptance: It is our guiding principal. We believe we must accept everything in this universe exactly as is. It is crucial to realize that everything is sacred, despite our mental labels or conventional understanding. Our enemies, our challenging situations, our living and non-living counterparts are all sacred. Ancient texts assert that there are five evils of human nature that obstruct the spiritual path: Kam (lust), Krodh (rage), Lobh (greed), Moh (attachment) and Ahankar (ego). We at BTN, challenge this mindset and instead treat these so-called evils as ‘constructive powers.’ With acceptance of these aspects as they are, we release the cyclic hold that they have on us. By honoring their sanctity, we allow increased opportunity and growth for our own spiritual and personal development. If we repress and avoid these powers, we create more resistance, which in turn creates more unwanted attraction. After all, what you resist persists!

Rebelliousness is Key: This requires complete sacrifice of oneself with a complete overcoming of the ego-self. Essentially, you are removing what is in the way of you and the universe, and that is a sacred life's journey. To be spiritual is to be rebellious. One must pierce though his or her inner self and all its conditioned thoughts to connect with the universe. An individual must have the courage to fight for enlightenment and remove the false clutter. Reprogramming is only possible through rebelliousness. When you know how to use it, rebellion can be a virtue. The most revered monks held steadfast to this principle.

BTN's first home is on Long Island in Hicksville, New York. The energy on Long Island is peaceful and serene but also encompasses the hustle and bustle of city-living. However, with the rapid expansion of consciousness, BTN needed more room to grow. BTN found, yet another place to call home. The one and only; Beverly Hills. Beverly Hills is a very affluent city located in Los Angeles County, California. Beverly Hills is famous for its luxurious culture and its celebrity residents, which include CEOs, heirs and heiresses, foreign and domestic dignitaries, authors, artists, professionals, and TV and film executives. It is also home to the famous upscale shopping district; Rodeo drive. Beverly Hills is a place filled with ambition and motivation but along with success comes stress. It seems that cities with money and success at their forefront are the ones who need spirituality the most. Constant work and excessive ambition are completely energy-draining; leaving people feeling empty and burnt-out. Without meditation and a general knowledge of well-being, how will we go on? Everything and everyone has their breaking point and the pressure on working-people now-a-days seems almost too much to bear. It was clear that Break The Norms needed to start a fire of awareness in Beverly Hills and spread the seeds of higher consciousness. There is no need to compromise your spirituality in order to have success. It is possible to wake up the monk and the business tycoon, simultaneously.

This is how Break The Norms has expanded across our great nation; making our mission one of peace and empowerment. The time has come to expand the awareness of humanity, whether you call New York City your home or Beverly Hills or anywhere in between. We are living in precarious times and it is imperative to seek out that which is most important in this life and remember who we truly are. We are spiritual beings having a human experience, learning lessons of love here on Earth. Yes, money is essential to survival and it seems that you need money just to breathe these days! Yes, success is wonderful and achievable... but so is enlightenment. The key is to be in this world, but not of this world. There is a way to balance both worldly success and spirituality. It is possible to achieve your wildest dreams of success and still nourish your soul, leading to a happy and fulfilling existence.
Now that's Breaking The Norms!
